Description

A work is dealing with the Yoga system. There are four chapters in Haṭhapradīpikā text. It explains, Chapter 1 (f.1b to 8b) describes the methods for performing various āsanas. 2nd chapter (f.9a to 14b) focuses on prāṇāyāma, Chapter 3 (f.14b to 23a) discusses mudrā and bandha practices, chapter 4 (f. 23b to 34b)is on Samādhi. Author is refered to as Svātmārāma in the colophon (f. 34a). Title from title page (f. 1a); alternate title Haṭhavidyā is taken from incipit. It is written in 6–12 lines per leaf. 34 leaves are foliated 1–34, upper left and lower right verso. Mistakes are covered over in yellow or blacked out. Some corrections and additions in margins; significant phrase, symbols, and words highlighted in red through some of the manuscript; double red lines mark vertical margins on first folio (f. 1a).
