Description

The manuscript contains Haritālikāpūjā which is centered around the Haritālika vrata, for unmarried women the vrata is a way to seek an ideal life partner, and for married women, an occasion to pray for the longevity and the well-being of their husbands. This is a fasting rite observed on Bādrapada Śukla Tṛtiya (the third day of the bright fortnigh. The scribe mentiond date, name on the manuscript, which is Śrāvaṇa Kṛṣṇa Pakṣa Daśami is the 10th day of the Krishna Paksha inthe Hindu calendar month of Śrāvaṇa. Title is taken from colophon (f. 7b), alternate title is Harītālikāpūjā from incipit (f. 1a). It is written in 9 lines per leaf. 7 leaves are foliated 1–7, upper left and lower right verso. Mistakes are covered with yellow or blacked out. Some corrections and additions in the margins. Significant syllables and words highlighted in red throughout. Scribe of the manuscript is Rāmacandra Dāḍekara (f. 7b). The manuscript is dated in (f. 7b).
