Description

The manuscript contains the Hanumatsahasranāma which is a stotra containing thousand names of the deity Hanumān as the title suggests. It is based on the epic Rāmāyaṇa. The text is composed as a conversation between Sage Vālmīki, Hanumān and King Rāma on the greatness of Hanumatsahasranāma. The stotra starts on folio 3a. Title is taken from the colophon (f. 17a–17b). The manuscript is written in 8 lines per leaf. 17 leaves are foliated 1–17, upper left and lower right verso. Mistakes are covered with yellow or blacked out. Some corrections and additions in the margins.
