Description
The text discuses the Hanumān Kavacha from the Atharvaveda, glorifying the immense power and virtues of the deity Hanumān. It includes potent tantric mantras which are highly revered for providing protection from negative energies. The Atharveda is reffered to as Atharvanaveda(f. 8b). The scribe mentioned date, month, time in Marathi language, which is Fālgun śukla Chaturdashi (the 14th day of the bright fortnight in the Hindu month of Falgun), the time on the clock is 12:04. Title is taken from the colophon (f. 9a) along with alternate title Atharvaṇavedahanumatadurga. The manuscript is written in 7 lines per leaf. 10 leaves are foliated 1–8, [9–10], upper left and lower right verso. Mistakes are blacked out. Some corrections and additions in the margins, vertical margins marked with quadruple black lines.
