Description

The manuscript consists of Halaṣaṣṭhi Vrata and Kathā taken from the Brahmāṇḍa Purāṇa. This vrata (observance) is dedicated to Śiva and Pārvatī. The vrata is performed on the sixth day of the Hindu month Bhādrapada (August or September) for children and prosperity. Title is taken from the colophon (f. 4a ) along with the alternate title Halaṣṭīvratapūjākathā. The manuscript is written in 12–14 lines per leaf. 4 leaves are foliated 1–4, upper left and lower right verso. Mistakes are blacked out. The change in handwriting occurs from folio 3a.
