Description

The manuscript consists of Halaṣaṣṭhikathā. This vrata (observance) is dedicated to Śiva and Pārvatī. The kathā (story) of the vrata explains that it should be performed on the sixth day of the Hindu month Bhādrapada (August or September) for the well-being of children and prosperity. Title is taken from the colophon (f. 5b). It is written in 8–9 lines per leaf. 5 leaves are foliated 1–5, upper left and lower right verso. Mistakes are covered with yellow or blacked out. Some corrections and additions in the margins. Significant syllables and words highlighted in red throughout.
