Description

The manuscript consists of various chakra tables related to astrology and their explanations. Folio (1a) contains topics about the Guru (teacher), the characteristics of a Guru, the Guru in the form of mother, father and God, and the meaning of the word. (f. 1b) contains the Akatha Cakra table and its explanation. (f. 2a) consists of the Kulakula Cakra and its explanation. It is a table of Sanskrit alphabets. (f .3a–b) contains the topic of Kalaniyama, which deals with the days of the week and tithi. The manuscript ends with the Gaṇeśa, Viṣṇu, Durgā, and Rāma Gāyatri mantras. The title is taken from the incipit (f. 1a).The manuscript written in 13–16 lines per leaf. 3 leaves are foliated 1–3, upper left and lower right verso, also foliated 11–13, upper left verso, indicating that it was part of a larger manuscript. Mistakes are blacked out. Some corrections and additions in margins. Significant syllables and words highlighted in red throughout, vertical margins marked with double black line.
