Description

The manuscript contains the work Grahalāghava by Gaṇeśadaivajña (active 1520-1554) of Nandigrāma in Koṅkaṇa on the West-coast, Son of Keśava Daivajña and Lakṣmī. Paternal uncle and teacher of Nṛsiṁha. This text is an astronomical treatise which describes the method of computations of the positions of planets. The manuscript is incomplete. Title is taken from the marginal abbreviations. It is written in 14–17 lines per leaf. 5 leaves are foliated 1-4, 6, upper left and lower right verso. Mistakes are covered with red or blacked out. Some corrections and additions in the margins; verse dividers in red throughout; vertical margins marked with double red line.
