Description
Gopīcandanopaniṣad is a Upaniṣad listed among the 95 minor upaniṣads in the Muktikā Upaniṣad. It is a medieval period Vaiṣnava upaniṣad focussing on the application of gopīcandana (sandal wood paste) which is applied to the forehead by devotees of Viṣnu creating a mark called a tilaka. The Ms. does not match other editions of the same text but the underlying theme is the same. This Ms. is written in 8 lines per folio. Titile present in cover page and colophon (f.3a). Mistakes are covered with gray.
