Description

Gaṇeśopaniṣad is a minor upaniṣad text according to the Muktikā Upaniṣad. It is not a vedic upaniṣad rather a later medieval one. The text is dedicated to the worship of Hindu elephant-headed deity Gaṇeśa. It compares Gaṇeśa with Brahman itself, which is the ultimate reality. They are a total of 14 verses in the text. This Ms. is written in 7–8 lines per folio. Cover page contains title. Back page is blank. Title also present in colophon (f. 5a) along with former owner. There are double black vertical margins present on each side of the folio. Mistakes are blacked out. Some corrections and additions in the margins.
