Description

Gaṇeśāvatāravarṇana is a part of a larger work the 24th adhyāya of the Skandapurāṇa. The purāṇic text is listed among the 18 Mahāpurāṇas. The text is presented as a dialogue between the deity Śiva and Skanda. It describes the various avatāras (manifestations) of the Hindu elephant-headed deity Gaṇeśa.
