Description

Gaṇeśahṛdayakavaca is a devotional text in praise of elephant headed Hindu deity Gaṇeśa. The text is presented as a dialogue between the deities Pārvatī (Gaurī) and Śiva (Śaṅkara) who are canonically the parents of deity Gaṇeśa. As the title suggests the text is recited for protection from the deity like a kavaca (protective armor) residing symbolically in the heart of the devotee. This Ms. is written in 9 lines per folio. Title present in colophon (f.3b). Mistakes are blacked out. Some corrections and additions in the margins.
