Description
Gakārādigaṇapati sahasranāmastotra is a devotional text in praise of the elephant headed Hindu deity Gaṇeśa and the 1000 names used for him. It is part of the larger work Rudrayāmala tantra. The text is presented in a dialogue format between supreme Hindu deity Śiva and Umā (Pārvatī). The Ms. contains 183 verses. This Ms. is written in 11–12 lines per folio. Cover page is blank. Title present in colophon (f.8b). Alternate title Gakārādigaṇapatisahasranāmastotra present in the begining of the text. Mistakes are covered with yellow or blacked out. Some corrections and minor additions in the margins. The folios have been treated with yellow turmeric powder. The Ms. is dated Saṃvat 1933 jyeṣṭaśuddha 13 śukra (Monday, June 5, 1876) in (f.8b).
