Description
A dhāraṇī (spell) text praising the Buddhist deity Ekajaṭī or Ekajaṭā through her 108 names, composed in eight verses. It is believed that chanting her mantra frees practitioners from all obstacles and brings good fortune. According to the Sādhanamālā, Ekajaṭā is a form of Blue Tārā, and her prescribed colour is blue; however, the manuscript contains an illustration of her on folio 1b painted in red. Apart from the colour, the remaining iconographic details correspond to those described in the Sādhanamālā. The manuscript originally contained three folios, but folio two is missing.
