Description
Dīkṣāyā Saphū is an esoteric ritual text for initiating the disciple into the Āgama. The text uses Nepalbhasha for the ritual instructions, whereas the mantras and stotras are in Sanskrit. Pic. 024 and Pics. 026–028 show sketches of the ritual setup for the pūjā. The Saphū serves as the guideline for introducing a new disciple to the maṇḍala of Cakrasaṃvara and Vajravārāhī. The ritual encompasses Caryāgīti as well. The short titles of the Caryā songs are mentioned at the points where they are to be sung and performed. Though the ritual is still being practiced, being esoteric in nature, it is not open to the public.
