Description

A vrata text extracted from the Bhaviṣyottarapurāṇa. The manuscript contains the Lalitā-pūjā section (f. 1a–2a) as the first part and the Daśaratha-Lalitā-vrata (f. 2a–3b) as the second part. The purpose of the vrata and pūjā is to praise the deities Lalitā and Rohiṇī in order to obtain longevity and a son. The owner of the text was Vaijanāthadīkṣita, the son of Lallarāmacandra (f. 3b). (Written in 9 lines per leaf.; 3 leaves foliated 1–3, upper left and lower right verso. Mistakes covered over in yellow, white, or blacked out; some corrections and extensive additions in margins; significant syllables, words, or phrases highlighted in faded yellow throughout. Second half of colophon written in second scribal hand.)
