Description
This text contains 2 parts Aṣṭādaśaślokīgītāsāra containing 18 Ślokas (metered verses) starting from (f. 1a). These 18 verses have been carefully selected from the 18 Adhyāyas (chapters) of the Bhagavatagītā 3rd part out of the 4, from the 6th Parva (chapter) of the epic Mahābhārata, that is Bhīṣmaparva in order to give the reader a summary of this popular text for knowledge as well as devotion. Similarly Saptaślokīgītā contains 7 Ślokas it starts from (f. 3b). The text also does the same. These texts are a discourse between supreme Hindu deity Viṣṇu (in the form of Kṛṣṇa) and Arjuna. This Ms. contains 9 lines per folio. Title of first work present in colophon (f. 3b). Title for second work Saptaślokīgītā present in colophon (f. 4b). There are double red vertical margins on each side of the folio. The Ms. is dated 1887 Vikrama Saṃvata plavanāsaṃvatsare pauṣaśuddha 2 (1830 CE, Friday, December 17 ) in (f. 4b).
