Description
Bṛhadāraṇyakopaniṣad belongs to Śukla Yajurveda. Adhyāyas 2–3, called the Yajñavalkyakāṇḍa(Yajñavalkya Section”), in which this sage plays the central role. This manuscript contains third Adhyāya. This Adhyāya is relating to Yajñavalkya, which is mainly argumentative. This starts with first king Janaka (Janaka, Emperor of Videha,)Aśvala then Yajñavalkya debate with Ārtabāga on life after death , it consists of the Grahas (organs) and Atigrahas (objects)?. In the third brāhmaṇa (section) Yajñavalkya gives answers to Bhujyu on the questions of sacrifice. In the fourth section we see debate on the brahman and the self between Yajñavalkya and Uṣasta. Same debate with the Kahol and next argument with Gārgī on what is the universe pervaded? This manuscript written in 10-11 lines per leaf. 9 leaves foliated 1–9, upper left verso; lower right verso foliated 17–25.
