Description

This work contains mantras from the Sāmaveda, with accent notation marks written in red ink above the letters. The accent notation system of the Sāmaveda differs from that of the Ṛgveda; it uses the numerals 1, 2, and 3 to indicate udātta, svarita, and anudātta, respectively. It appears that this manuscript was prepared for ritual practice purposes. This Ms. is written in 8 lines per folio. Cover page is blank. Text contains red metric accents. Mistakes are covered with yellow or blacked out. Some corrections and additions in the margins.
