Description
Battīsīpaurṇimāvratodyāpana is a part of a larger work Bhaviṣyapurāṇa from its Uttara parva. The text contains rituals, vratas (observances)and pūjās (prayers) dedicated to various deities to be performed on a full moon night. It is performed to remove or redeem a person from past sins or transgressions. It is also believed to help in obtaining of fruits like happiness and prosparity. This Ms. is written in 9–11 lines per folio. Title present in colophon (f. 2b). Mistakes are blacked out. There are double red vertical margins present on each side.
