Description
Aurdhvadehikapaddhati is a manual for performing Hindu rituals associated with funeral rites and cremation compiled by Nārāyaṇa Bhaṭṭa. The text is also known as Antyeṣṭapaddhati. It's purpose is to guide the Ātman (soul) from the body to the afterlife or liberation as per belief system. This Ms. is written in 10 lines per folio. Title present in colophon (f. 36b) along with author. There are 2 double black vertical margins present on each side of the folio. Mistakes covered with yellow or blacked out. Some corrections and additions in the margins. Significant syllables and words rubbed with orange powder for highlighting.
