Description
This text belongs to Aitareya-Āraṇyaka II and includes chapters four, five, six, and seven, collectively titled Ātmaṣaṭaka. Chapters four, five, and six of Aitareya-Āraṇyaka II together constitute the Aitareya Upaniṣad, while the seventh chapter contains only a single mantra. Thus, the present text actually covers the entire Aitareya Upaniṣad and also includes the seventh chapter of Aitareya-Āraṇyaka II. This work is similar to Items 1190 and 1234, although this manuscript begins and ends with the śāntimantras. This Ms. is written in 7 lines per folio. Cover page contains title. Title present in colophon (f. 7b). Mistakes are covered with yellow or blacked out. Some corrections and additions in the margins.
