Description
An Advaita philosophical work, it contains the essence of the principal Upaniṣads and is composed in 18 chapters by Śaṃkarānanda, a pupil of Ānandātman. This work is also known as Upaniṣadratna or Upaniṣad-sārārthaprakāśa. The manuscript contains the ninth chapter, which discusses the ‘Yama–Naciketas-saṃvāda’ from the Kaṭhopaniṣad. It is an incomplete manuscript, containing only 123 verses. This Ms. is written in 12 lines per folio. Cover and back page is blank. Title present in marginal abbreviations. There are double red vertical margins present on each side of the folio. The (Pūrṇavirāma) full stop style vertical brackets. Mistakes are covered with yellow or blacked out. Some corrections and additions in the margins. Some folios are treated with yellow turmeric powder.
