Description
This manuscript contains the 12th chapter (Ātmānanda-prakaraṇa) of the Pañcadaśī, composed by Vidyāraṇyamuni. The main text is written in the center of each folio, while the commentary appears in the upper and lower margins. The commentator, Rāmakṛṣṇa, authored the Tātparyadīpikā, which accompanies this chapter. This chapter focuses on ordinary people who lack sufficient understanding and knowledge to grasp Brahman-bliss, and it aims to guide them toward that realization through detailed explanation. Ātmānanda is a Treatise on Advaita(non-dualistic) Vedānta school of Hindu philosophy. This Ms. is written in 14–18 lines per folio. Cover and back page contain title. Title and commentary title Brahmānanda Ātmānanda present in colophon (f. 13a). There are double red vertical margins present on each side of the folio. The (Pūrṇavirāma) full stop style vertical brackets and word divisions are in red. Mistakes are covered with yellow or blacked out. Some corrections and additions in the margins. Significant syllables and words rubbed with orange powder for highlighting. The Ms. was originally part of a larger manuscript that was divided into parts Ms. Coll. 390; Items 890, 891, 892, 893, 894, 895, 896, 897, 898, 899, 900, 902, 903, and 904.
