– In Colophon is written – iti Ᾱryatārabhaktārikāyā
nāmāṣṭottaraśatakam Buddhabhāṣita parisamāpta. Probably due to local pronunciation the title of the text is misspelt.The correct title of the text would be Ᾱryatārabhaṭṭārikāyānāmāṣṭottaraśatakam . The Goddess Ᾱryatārā is glorified in this text.She is known as MahāRoudri,Puṣṭivardhani, Candrānanā and the great lady, who enhances the span of life a and welcomes good health
(āyurārogyajanaka). Ᾱryatārā and Ᾱryabhṭṭāriyaka is the same goddess only the difference remains in their title. Ᾱryatārabhaṭṭārikāyānāmāṣṭottaraśatakam is found I Sādhanamālā. Tara is a noble lady, a Saviouress and is the female Bodhisattva.One hundred eight names in praise of the noble lady Tara is often
cited in Buddhist tradition, so the manuscript is named so.Tārā is often called the embodiment of Prajñāpāramitā. So frequent mention of Prajñāpāramitā is found in this text The scribe of the manuscript submitted his confession in Post- Colophon part--------
