Description

Ānayo vaiśvānarāya is a text which contains the procedures for various Vedic rituals and sacrifices. It also contains early examples of Hindu legends like that of vaiśvānara an abstract concept of a universal Ātman. This Ms. is written in 10–12 lines per folio. Title present in opening marginal note in red. Back page contains alternate title Caturthāṣṭaka (f. 72b). There are double red vertical margins on each side of the folio. Mistakes are covered with yellow or blacked out. Some corrections and additions in the margins Significant syllables and words rubbed with orange powder for highlighting. The text has red metric marks. The Ms. is dated in (f. 71b).
