Description
Agniṣṭomādisaptasaṁsthā is a manual for performing Agniṣṭoma sacrifice along with other Vedic rituals a total of seven as the title suggests to be offered to the Vedic deities. Agniṣṭoma is the foundational ritual followed by Atyagniṣṭoma, Ukthya, Ṣoḍaśī, Atirātra, Vājapeya and Aptoryāma which specifically structured variations. They are considered to be part of larger category of Śrauta fire rituals. This Ms. is written in 7 lines per folio. Cover page contains title in red which has faded. There are marginal additions and corrections. There are metrical accents present in red. The double Pūrṇavirāma (full stop) style vertical brackets are also in red. Some folios have turned yellow.
