Description

Agniṣṭoma brāhmaṇācchaṃsī prayoga is a manual for performing Vedic Agniṣṭoma ritual which involves offering of soma to various deities. This text is particularly for a Brāhmaṇācchaṃsin priest who is an assistant to the Hotṛ priest as they are multiple priests involved during the ritual. Agniṣṭoma is considered as a foundation for other soma rituals. The ritual is performed for spiritual and material well-being. This Ms. is written in 11–13 lines per folio. Title is present in the begining (f. 2b). There are double black vertical margins on each side of the folio. Mistakes are blacked out.
