Description

Agnisthāpanavidhi is a priest manual for construction and installation of fires to be used for various Vedic rituals from deciding the location of fire to starting it. This Ms. is incomplete as it lacks a begining. This ms. is written in 11-13 lines per folio. Back page is blank. Title is present in colophon (f. 17a). There are double black vertical margins on each side of the folio. Mistakes are covered with yellow or blacked out. Some corrections in the margins. The Ms. dated 1782 Śaka Saṃvata (1860 CE, Wednesday, 16 May, )1912 Vikrama Saṃvata (1855 CE) in (f. 17b) along with scribe Viṣnudatta Dvijavara Lohanupādhyāya. There is a minor text of five lines written by a second hand at the end of the manuscript called Yajñāntagodāna.
