Description
Agastyasaṃhitā belongs to the Pāñcarātra text divided into Paṭalas and different from the Sutīkṣṇa-Agastya-saṁvāda. (NCC. Vol.1. p. 25) The text contains rituals that are performed during Hindu festival of Rāmanavamī, honoring the birth of the Hindu deity Rāma. There are mutiple texts with the name Agastyasaṃhitā which are attributed to the Ṛṣi (sage) Agastya like Skandapurāṇa and Garudapurāṇa. This Ms. is written in 11 lines per folio. Mistakes covered with black. Some corrections and additions in the margins. Alternate title Rāmanavamīvratakathā from colophon (f. 10b).
