Description

Adbhutaśānti is the 67th Ātharvāṇapariśiṣṭa which is the appendix of Atharvaveda. This text is a Manual of rules that are to be employed during Natural Disasters. Like bad omens of Indra, Varuṇa, Yama, Agni, Kubera, Viṣṇu, Vāyu and their respective precautions. The text is a part of Baudhāyana's Baudhāyanasūtra. This Ms. is written in 10 lines per folio. The title is present in the begining of (f.1a). There are double red vertical Margins on each side of the folio. Mistakes are blacked out. Some corrections and additions in margins. Significant syllables and words have been rubbed with orange powder for highlighting. The Ms. is dated Śāka 1725 in (f.2b).
